People keep saying "not to worry about labels, subtypes". And I can understand where there coming from.......However diagnosis and specific subtypes are still important no matter how fed up we get with it....I've been fed up since I been first diagnosed schizophrenia, psychosis nos, schiz-affective. Sure it's just like a concoction of sterotyped commonalities which deviate from what most people feel is normal but It shows you weather or not you even want to bother taking medications if its a milder disorder than another. Diagnosis change and disorders progress or subside if I have a milder disorder there may be a point where I feel things getting worse in which case I would consider medication.....But theres a point in which someone would not not feel comfortable taking medications because the risks of the medictions are not worth the actual symptoms from disorder. who wants to be on meds. Most people who stay on lithium for a year or even ten can become dependant on it.....So I mostly diagree.......Kinda agree. I also Agree with the DSM and its purpose......Kinda disagree.........
