In short, I did what everybody "told" me. Followed the psychaitrist's advice, followed the psychologist's advice, and followed ya'll's advice. I stayed on my meds, get enough sleep, ate well, dropped all stimulants, and dropped all substances. This was to get control of the BP. Then it came down to getting over my ex and the break-up. There the psychologist was invaluble! She tought me to always be aware of what is going on with my emotions and thoughts.
I think the most important thing is swallowing pride. When you stop assuming everybody is an idiot (guilty), assuming the doctors are just after your money (guilty), and assuming you know better (GUILTY), then you open yourself up to actually receiving help.
