When I get home from my job I have time with my family, and on Sunday mornings we usually go to church which is a major part of my social life. Most of the friends I have were met in church, and they have similar interests. None of us are the kind to stay out and party till 4 am. I don't believe I have ever been out that late. Once in the past year I was out till 1:00 am with some cousins and a couple of my sisters listening to a band and drinking, but that's not really my style. On the outside my life seems pretty tame, but when you get right down too it I think I have a pretty good life. Although occasionally I screw it up some, it always seems to fix itself.

I'm kind-of there with ya..... my social life consists of friends coming here to hang out, and we all take our kids to the creek and stuff like that. Some folks call it boring, but I think it's quite preferable. :) On occasion though I do manage to actually go out and do something, and that's a treat.

I must admit I am generally of the opinion that all the BP be good stuff refers to everyone but me even tho I preach it to others. However when I ignore it I do regret it and I end up paying the price. The question is is paying the price worth it for the fun you have ignoring the be good stuff and only you can answer that. Several hospital admissions later I am gradually coming round to the idea that I need to pay attention to the be good BP stuff but it is still difficult.

I went out on Saturday night and had so much fun! No alcohol at all, and I didn't even notice. Got in bed at 3am. Slept till 11am (a good 8 hours). My friends got drunk, but it didn't bother me. I guess I just needed to get out.

I do understnd how you feel, it can be awful to be out of sync with your friend's timetables. As a former shift worker, i've experienced that even without the mental health angle.

Do you make good use of your mornings? I always struggle to get chores done early, but there's quite a satisfaction that comes from it and it might help you free up some time on your weekends.

Glad that you went out - I believe "Everything in moderation, even moderation". Feeling socially connected is important as well! (As long as it doesn't do too much damage).

Personally, I adopt the Cinderella rule - home and in bed by midnight means I can still get 7 hours of good sleep
