I'm having trouble with inexplicable anger each & every morning. My psychiatrist told me to take some of my mood stabilizer in the afternoon to try to control it.
Does anyone else have this problem?

I used to have that problem but it stopped when I stopped taking wellbutrin. Apparently, it was causing me to cycle despite being on a mood stabilizer and an AP. If you've been on yours for awhile it's probably not that, but maybe you could talk to your pdoc about it? I dunno. I hope it stops soon....

Tho the mania might have gone hypomania (milder version of mania that includes anger and irritablility) may still be there to an extent. This could explain your symptoms.

Oh thank you. Yes, that would make sense. My doctor said I could take a half of Lamictal pill in the afternoon to help with mood problems (anger, irritability) in the afternoon, but today it didn't work.
I think I'm heading into a mixed state. Meaning, my anger/irritibility/built-in energy is starting to morph into depressive thoughts. I'm thinking about cutting again. Take that back. I have plans to cut.

I just did. I'm sorry, Cracked...
I do see the hospital doctor tomorrow. He's gonna be my psychiatrist after the hospital as well. So I'll definitely bring up how I've been feeling with him.

I am sorry you cut. If you must please do it safely. It is def a good idea to tell your psych when you see them. Keep safe.

I'd be a little nervous telling my psych that I cut but I guess it would be a good idea to do so. Also tell my therapy group. (I'm in Partial Hospitalization.)
Is there such thing as a stress-induced manic-depression? Some girl in my hospital said that my Bipolar Disorder was caused by my past trauma... I'm just wondering if its possible or whether it's JUST a chemical imbalance. The DSM never says that Bipolar is chemical only...
