Citalopram

Hi I'm on 40mg per day of citalopram. I have been using the brand name cipramil since my diagnosis in 2001. This is the second time I have been given another 'brand' by the chemist and both times I have suffered anxiety and panic attacks and am unable to sleep. I am exhausted and tearful and have withdrawn. Has anyone else experienced differences after taken the same drug branded differently.

Oh yea,

My insurance company won't pay for xanax so I have to settle for alprazolam. It is much less potent and it's fillers and direvitives are different.

Also my flexeril is made by different companies. Dan 5648 is the only kind that works for me. Any others make me sick.

Have y our doctor write in the sig part of your Rx, distribe as written, rather than substitution allowed. Then you will get the brand name from the rx factory.
