Lamictal Dosage

I'm taking 200 mg of lamictal right now. My shrink told me that at 150-200mg I should notice the drugs effects. I don't notice them at all. I am a big guy 255 lbs so maybe i'm just not getting enough of the drug. I'm looking to hear from you if you've taken lamictal or know someone who has took it. If you take it or have taken it, how much do you weigh, and how many milligrams did you have to take before you felt the drug working? also does if help with confusion? i need something to turn the switches on in my brain. I'm nothing short of an imbicelic zombie.

I first noticed the Lamactial working at about the 100mg level . I'm currently taking 200mg and it's made a big differance. I 've been at the 200 level for approx 6 weeks now.

Its made a big differance in my life . I weigh 215#

I'm also on Paxil. I take Risperdal and Lorezapam at night for sleep.

It's all turned my bipolar life around.

i recently read mentioning of a patient taking up to 600mg of the stuff with no severe problems.

I am in the overweight category, but I think I got there by taking lamictal, because after starting it, I gained thirty pounds. However, I still feel my moods - it seems like it just covers the moods at 150 mg, but I can still feel them but not as strongly. The only thing that really worked for me was lithium. But I cannot take it because I have serious toxicity problems with that. Also, I am a rapid cycler with mixed phases.

I can't take that stuff I broke out in a rash.
