So, I've been seeing someone for a little over a month. She has bipolar ii, and has been on Seroquel for about 5 years now.
She had an appointment today to see her doctor, or at least she thought she did; her doctor is out of town, and won't be able to see her for 6 weeks. Her Seroquel runs out in 6 days. She's with her family now, in Montanta (where her doctor would be if she wasn't on vacation), while I'm stuck in Oregon where we both live. Her family is no help (abusive father, alcoholic mother) and she's already been seriously depressed there. She's saying she's given up, that there's no hope, and that for someone to go off that much Seroquel is a good way for them to commit suicide.
I don't know what to do. She was going to come back today or tomorrow, after her appointment, but there are even fewer options for her to see someone quickly here than there are where she is now and she can't see how she'll get in to see someone on such short notice. I've never dealt with bipolar before, I've had trouble keeping her together on medication; I've told her that she can come here, and I'll be here for her and help her and keep her from hurting herself, but I've had trouble helping her stay together while on her medication.
I'm at my wit's end. I love this girl so much and she's bringing up suicide. If anyone has any ideas, any at all, please help. Please.
