myPsychTracker

Postby EricaLevesque » Sun Jan 10, 2010 10:45 pm

So I joined this site that tracks and charts different symptons of different mental illnesses and I have to say... I think it's creating that mirror effect because I just looked at my chart for the first time since I started and I couldn't believe what I saw... my moods have been all over the place and while I know I've had some high's and low's in the past week or so; I didn't realize how steep they really were. I think this will be a good thing to share with my psychiatrist and I think it will give me a better awareness of what's going on with me AND I figure I can compare my chart to my journal and see what might be contributing my mood swings.

Just thought I'd share just in case anyone wants to check it out. Here ya go :-)

I tried that site and then realized that I don't care to know what I was like yesterday or last week.
Chances are, my bf or my mother will tell me anyway...

I thought the same thing when someone first posted the link but I was surprised to find out that it will be really helpful for me. I'm trying REALLY hard to get a handle on things so I'm trying to find as many resources/tools as possible. That' not to say that you don't have a handle on things... What works for some, won't work for other. Just like everything else in the world, huh?

Lol.
I have a PsychTracker account...
I just don't like it much. I fill it out when I need to explain to my bf how I feel today, and that's about it.
He understands that more than anything that could come out of my mouth...
So I guess it has purpose.

That's good though that you have something that you can SHOW him rather than trying to explain it verbally. I know sometimes I try explaining myself to husband 10 different ways and I eventually start talking in nonsensical circles and we get nowhere other than us both getting completely frustrated. I've been showing him the charts too though and I think it does help

Yeah, it's easier to give people visuals...
Between how confused I get anyway and being inable to explain in adequate terms what's going on, it's A LOT easier.

Hmm. I'd thought about trying that site before, but just didn't. Maybe I'll give it another look. I like graphs and stuff like that. They don't lie or confuse like people do.

I finally signed up yesterday, and it's gone today. Like, the site is gone today, not my profile.
