Alcohol, drunk, and lack of drunkness

Postby Lanka » Wed Mar 27, 2019 10:07 am

Today is second time that I can remember this happening. I don't own alcometer, but should probably buy one for the third one to see if my blood is still drunk as it should be.

Long story short; drank vodka from ~3 am to 8 am, chat with a friend for bit, went to shop at 9 am (feeling definitely drunk), got home, got some breakfast, had another drink - and realized I'm not actually drunk anymore. Like.. at all. Slight headache but that's about it.

My best guess is that sometimes when my mood swings my brain starts to compensate for being drunk for whatever reason. So I feel 99% sober, with some mixed state anger and frustration on top. I know how much I can drink, and after what I drank last few hours I should be unconcious on bed right now.. Also missing words which is usually one of my tells for onsetting hypo.. ==a Google is about as useless as any time you try to find anything about rare mental conditions..
Rapid cycling BP II with side of anxiousness, mixed states and BPD/AvPD-traits.
Meds? Went feral. So far nothing has given me the equal of highs on daily basis.

Adrenaline from sleep deprevation might've counteracted it, plus maybe if you're taking meds they helped a bit. Did you end up going into a hypomania? All-nighters do the same for me.

When I'm manic my tolerance for alcohol roughly doubles. I can drink over 20 drinks in a day and not be very drunk. Of course that's not saying much for some people, but for me normally 12 is about as much as I can do without starting to get groggy and dumb. I also find my desire for alcohol is extremely high because it helps calm me down and sit still and act less weird.

Why do you feel the need to get so drunk? And at such an odd time nonetheless
