Low Carb Nirvana

Postby CopyCat27 » Wed Nov 28, 2018 10:08 am

Guys seriously go low carb. Like really low carb. It does wonders in managing bipolar. That coupled with regular exercise can make you feel so clear minded and in control of your mood. It's something everyone with bipolar should try.

Eat lots of veg and meats/eggs/dairy and stay away from rice/pasta/bread/fruits.

Trust me it makes a ton of difference.

I've been doing this for about 6 months. I feel very stable. No more sugar highs but no more crashes either. Lost lots of weight. I found a lot of good info on the keto forum. Green veggies, meat, nuts, cheese, eggs. You don't have to starve yourself and the weight melts off.
I do miss beer, pasta, cake, croissants, apple fritters, and cinnamon rolls but it's worth it.

Wine is okay. About 5g carbs a glass. On keto you want to be under 20g a day. One IPA can have 20g/bottle! Liquor is the best and has no carbs.

In that case, sign me up

I'm vegetarian. But even eliminating meat, fast food, and most sodas, I gained weight from my meds.
