Am I losing it?

Postby brakingdown » Wed Jun 13, 2018 12:00 pm

I'm pretty manic right now, but not manic enough to be TOTALLY incoherent. I mean don't get me wrong, I'm hardly the most coherent person in the world but I think with real mania I'd be pretty gone. Anyway, last night: WOAH. I was so paranoid at work, thought certain jacket-wearing customers (IT'S SUMMER) were trying to hurt or kill me, couldn't trust anyone, oh and I forgot what to do at the traffic light. Next thing I know I feel like my skin is getting sick. I'm not joking. I feel the burning sensation and it looks sick and about to rot. Is this something that can happen or am I starting to go off the deep end?

When you ask yourself this, it means you are still aware of your behavior. I would seek out my pdoc and/or the therapist and tell them how you are feeling. I would make an emergency appointment with the therapist and they can give you more of a clue as to how you are doing. When we (people with bipolar disorder) get manic, it's really hard or in my case, impossible to tell what is truly going on. I get psychosis and I'm completely convinced of those delusions I am experiencing at that time. I've been to the point where I feel normal and even appear normal, but others don't know what is going on in my mind. Let us know how it goes. I just want you to be ok. Hugs, if wanted.

I would talk to your pdoc. You might need a med/dosage adjustment if you're not feeling your normal self.
Be kind to everyone you come across because you never know who’s suffering inside.
