Vraylar Experiences

Postby Knoxious » Fri Mar 23, 2018 1:56 pm

Hello,

I have recently been put on Vraylar. I am now on 6mg. My therapist thinks it's causing me to be hypomanic, but i think it is just the season, as every year on the vernal equinox i get hypomanic/manic.

Has anyone else felt manic on Vraylar?

What's your experience in general?

Thanks,
- Knox

Knox, have you noticed an increase in appetite or weight gain?

Perhaps *mod edit* if your therapist is concerned that vraylar is bringing on mania might be in order.

i don't have experience with vraylar, the only thing i've found that counteracts mania is cyproheptadine which can be found in mexico or possibly in chemist in usa. it doesn't really stop mania but it helps slow me down and if i take enough it will force me to sleep

i 100% agree with you on seasons.

i think my mind is a bit like a hibernating animal

I have definitely noticed an increase in appetite. I've been snacking at night like a mother.

I got six hours last night which is pretty good! This hypomania is the most unpredictable one i've had. Probably because i'm on medication, i swing up, and the next day after sleep i swing back down. Up at night, down in the morning, has been the pattern for the past several weeks.

But you know what, i think it's really present in the morning too, but it's such a subtle bout of hypomania that i barley notice. My therapist had to point it out to me this time.. usually i can figure out when it's happening on my own

It's like clockwork for me. Ever since i started getting symptoms, five years ago, every spring i sprang. And that's a good analogy Fool.

It works at first for sleep I noticed but I am on several medicines so it's hard to say oh this one is doing that.
