More help for mental illness

Postby zombie84 » Fri Mar 09, 2018 2:17 am

So I told you guys I have schizo affective bipolar 1 but my psych said he thinks it's more bipolar type one with mania that causes psychosis but who knows that was years ago. I also have ptsd and have been treated for a dissociative disorder.

I feel like I need more help than I've getting, I've been coming into mania and my doctors office called and cancelled my appointment tomorrow and rescheduled for the 14th. They do this all the time and give no bleeps. I also have no transportation and am on disability and have to uber to my appointments when I see other patients getting medical transportation and I have no clue how to get that, I called Medicaid and Medicare and they said no. I've talked to other people and they have a case worker well my former therapist emailed 3 times requesting a case worker for me with no response and I don't know how to get one. And this doctors office is ran by the state I think so there's a bunch of them there and they also run the inpatient facilities for the county so since I go there I don't think any other doctors office will take me, I've tried and they always say no. Just wish there were more resources out there for us.

If you need more help, a psychologist or therapist can be helpful. This forum is a convenient outlet if you are having issues. Psychiatrists are pretty good but they pretty much just give you pills in my experience unless they specialize in therapy. Usually when I get severely manic I need a med change quickly or even go to inpatient. Changing my lifestyle and relaxation techniques help too.
Be kind to everyone you come across because you never know who’s suffering inside.
