Do you see patterns (faces, object) in things? In clouds for example, or stains on the wall? I can't even look in the sky without immediately spotting images in clouds, my brain does it every single time, not just with clouds but everything, and I just learned this particularity has a name - pareidolia.
It's a term used to describe tendency to find meaning and pattern in random, insignificant data.
I read it might be a symptom of neuroticism/hypervigilance.
Unfortunately I couldn't find a study to back any of this up, is there anyone who knows more about this or who can relate to it?
Could this be connected to a certain mental disorder? Can it be in correlation with bipolar?
