Bipolar Newbie???

I just made an Appt for next week to talk with a PHYD? i think thats what he is... but i have always had Problems... my Mom was Bipolar.. then Alzheimers at 80yrs old & then Dimentia... so i dont know if its Heriditary but everyone always tells me I Need Help! especially my poor Husband... he also says im Bipolar... i hardly Ever Sleep... i can lay there for Hours! Like 3 maybe 4hrs before i fall asleep... and i Snap like crazy all the time! Then there are other times when im like Overjoyed!! Like i cant Shut Up!!! I just keep talking and Talking!!! Im taking Lexapro 20mg Daily for Anxiety right now because i am Soooooooooper Anxious ALL THE TIME!!! i used to get Migraine Headaches a couple of years ago, but they stopped Thank God!!! and i ALWAYS Think BAD Thoughts!!! I cant go anywhere without thinking something Bad is gonna happen!! Its Horrible!!! do i sound Bipolar to any of you????? I would Looooooove some Advice!!!!!

we can't diagnose you. I can list some general things and see if it lines up. Signs of bipolar do include elated mood, often with risky behavior that you wouldn't normally do such as spending sprees, gambling, sex, ect. Hypomania is a lesser form of mania where you feel very happy and may have some risky behaviors, but not to the extreme of mania. Both bipolar I and II involve depression, which often includes not wanting to do things you normally enjoy, sleeping a lot (where in mania you may not sleep), and sometimes thoughts of self harm or suicide.
