Oh, yes. I jam on my FitBit and tidy while I’m on the move. Big two story house.

(Not akathesia, I’ve had it..horrible.)

Akathisia is like restless leg syndrome, but on your whole body + your brain. I had it from Latuda and it was excruciating. I just wanted to scream, rip my skin off, and jump out the window. It was impossible to sit still and I couldn't sleep. This lasted for a week or three, then my pdoc prescribed me Klonopin for it, and that worked WONDERS. I would not wish this on my worst enemy. It was hell. Absolute hell.

By nature, I am almost always restless, I am a HUGE fidgeter, I rock back and forth when sitting at my PC, etc. But this is NOTHING compared to that akathisia I had from that damn medication. These things that I do, do not affect my life, therefor, I do not see it as a problem, and wouldn't even call it akathisia.

Yeah, can’t stay still. Like you want to claw off your skin. HAVE to move even if you are EXHAUSTED. Cogentin made it go away in one hour!

I've always been a phone pacer too--I don't enjoy phone calls too much because I must feel trapped, so the pacing helps me. Lol

Absolutely! It’s not akathesia for me...I’ve had that before...awful.

I have energy to expel, usually...I don’t sit much. It’s better for my chronic pain, too.

I love my Fitbit!

Hope you're alright @eterea107 sorry you've been going through so much. </3

To answer your question, I tried new meds for a bit. They seemed to help my bipolar, but I'm unsure of the pacing issue with them. I don't believe they changed it. In a way I like it. It forces me to get up and move around. Problem is when I need to sleep. I tend to be low on motivation, so I sorta want to keep it till I can get a motivator. *Sigh I know... :?

I was taken off the meds a couple of days ago due to a rash side effect. Gonna be put on something new as soon as it's completely gone.

Thanks for your condolences, Holodeck. :)

Maybe you are a bit hypomanic if the extra energy isn’t bothersome. I’m a high energy person unless I’m in a depressive episode. Good luck with your new medication change. xo
