I'm not sure if this was posted before, but I would be interested to hear what weird hypomanic or manic symptoms people experience. Something that might not necessarily be "textbook" but more unique to a person. Sometimes as a lead in to having an episode,or during.
I notice for myself as a lead in I get quite warm, especially my eyes. I don't know how weird that is. But it is something I observe in myself prior to hitting a hypomanic episode.

I get warm as well, often times I'll even feel overheated. I have a tendency to laugh at things that aren't all that funny, and smile for no reason. My pupils seem to get larger too.

I don't pay too much attention to these things, nor do I analyze every little thing. All I know is I just wake up wake up manic one day. (Or I wake up depressed one day.) There's really no precursor and my mania symptoms are pretty textbook- little sleep, talkative, racing thoughts, grandiosity, euphoria, over-spending, these sorts of things. People actually like when I'm manic.. so I dunno.

I get easily frustrated and I always want to be drunk when I'm manic.
Like... manic me is a mean alcoholic...
But the rest of the time I don't really drink... like at all.
