Hey everyone. I know I have been posting a lot in the past couple of days but I'm really struggling and need some extra support outside of therapy and my pdoc. On Friday I started having hallucinations and the voice have been telling me to kill myself. I discussed it with my pdoc and therapist and my pdoc increased my Lithium and told me to call if I'm not better by the end of the week. The voices have been really intense and they just keep repeating *mod edit*I've been able to ignore the commands but it's getting more and more difficult as I continue to get no sleep. There is no reason to worry as I have no intention of listening to the voices but they are taking a toll on me both mentally and physically. I sure could use some support and hugs if anyone has any to give.
Peace

Not sleeping makes it worse. Sounds like you should be in inpatient if you are having any thoughts of listening to these voices. Otherwise I'd be *mod edit* to get as much sleep as possible in this clear cut manic stage along with *mod edit*. That's what doctors have done when I'm manic anyways. Do your best to ignore the voices and realize that it's not real.

As z7z has said, it might be time to hospitalize yourself in order to be safe. Please do that if you feel it's too much for you to handle. You will get the necessary help and protection there. Please call your pdoc and let them know you are going to go inpatient and then GO. It's better to be safe. Sometimes, this illness becomes too much for us. I know that from experience. Been inpatient 4 times and I'd go again if I need to. Let us knows what happens.

I just want to thank everyone for your responses and suggestions. I decided to wait until this morning to decide whether or not to go to the hospital. Thankfully I got some sleep and the voices have subsided quite significantly. I did talk to my therapist and my pdoc and they both agreed that there is no reason to go inpatient at this point. My depression has lifted so I am more manic then in a mixed state at this point. We have agreed to wait a couple of days and see if the mania lifts and if not we will increase my Lithium further. I'm still on a relatively small dose. Things are looking up and I am feeling more grounded. Thank you all for your thoughts and concern. It's greatly appreciated.
Peace
