I went to a mj shop and was asking about strains. I tried a mainly Indica strain and it made me very relaxed and not very high.
I read that it helps with depression.
Has anyone tried a specific strain that worked for you?
Mine was Swiss cheese.

I would like to say that I inform psychiatrist about my MJ usage. And I see her frequently.

I myself don't smoke weed very often, but have in the past. My sister actually works at a dispensary and is quite knowledgeable. I have also read that if in a hypomanic/manic episode, an indica (which is more of a relaxed high and has a "couch potato" effect) can be beneficial whereas a sativa can be beneficial for depression as it has a more uplifting effect. However, I think to an extent it also depends on the bipolar type and if there are psychotic features involved, as this can backfire. And of course, it depends on each person.

I don't recommend it with out a caution. I can handle it, but it is a case by case situation for bipolar's.
I feel that it is safer for me than alcohol. And I don't do other drugs.

Hey, I hear ya there. No judgement at all. I definitely agree with the alcohol part, I feel the same way. It's nice to be able to experiment and find what works best

Thanks for responding. It is hard to be 100% clean and drugfree. Especially when manic.
