Problem with traveling.

Postby Johnboy56 » Sun Jan 08, 2017 6:06 am

One big problem she has is she cann't make up her mind. I will take the ER and she will not go in and wants to go home after we traveled 100 miles and then I will take her to another hospital and will do the same. Before I started to date her she went to eight different mental hospitals and stayed without any problems. She does take Prozac and another pill everyday.

Thanks.

Hi,

Although I've not had this precise problem, if the person you're talking about is in an episode right now, they can be very confusing times and sometimes when I'm ill, I don't know what to do with myself or what might help. During my last deep depression, for example, I remember asking family members to help get me hospitalised, but in the end I didn't go through with it and ended up being treated as an outpatient by my regular psychiatrist. I think all you can do is be there for this person, and perhaps try to gently understand more about why they keep changing their mind re: hospitalisation.
