Not sure if about Bipolar, but Havoc by Alanis Morissette

Just when I thought
I had handled solace
I can soften my guard behind false confidence

Just when I felt
Humbled by insipid
Except from this blind-side and from reading a script
Cause I am seduced by reaction and under the influence

I'm slipping grip I'm
Up to my tricks off my wagon
I have no defense I'm
Wreaking havoc
Wreaking havoc and consequence

I get reduced by my own willfulness as
I reach for my usual odd replacements
Cause I wish for sanction it lacks in my steps

I'm slipping grip I'm
Up to my tricks off my wagon
I have no defense I'm
Wreaking havoc
Wreaking havoc and consequence

Forgiveness is understanding that
Affirming a compact for the millionth time
On this tumbling house of cards of mine

I am beaten by my impulsiveness
By this uncanny foreshadowing of regret
Cause I'm repulsed by restriction at least that's my excuse

I'm slipping grip I'm
Up to my tricks off my wagon
I have no defense I'm
Wreaking havoc
From v
Wreaking havoc and consequence
I have no defense I'm
Wreaking havoc
Wreaking havoc and consequence
In 900 years I've never met anyone who wasn't important- The 11th Doctor

Its a tie between "X amount of words" and "Drilled a wire through my cheek" by Blue October.

X amount of words...the lyrics with the beat...you just *know* he gets it.

But Drilled is a "I'm fighting this and winning" song.

I listen to Korn, I don't know if there are many songs that I relate to. I don't mean just Korn, just in general. Most of the people don't write the songs, so they really don't know anyway. I want to say more, but I don't know what

Someone else knows Icon?! Yessss.

Icon For Hire's Hope of Morning has been in my head a lot lately.
I see that one, with Get Well and Iodine, being more general in terms of mental illness...but man, the first time I connected Get Well with hospitalization it was like this huge, audible gasp and sigh of relief. (This realization was during my first inpatient stay!)

I don't know how I forgot this, but "The Beast in Me" by Johnny Cash. Not specifically about BP, but still something I really relate to...

One I like that I haven't seen mentioned is Manic by Plumb. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XtJ8m7LFhM

There's a chemical in your brain
It's pouring sunshine and rage
You can never know what to expect
You're manic, manic

I like the outside POV. It kinda goes with the lack of insight when horrifyingly manic.
You are unique, just like everybody else.

How could I forget this

Basket Case - Green Day

Sometimes I give myself the creeps
Sometimes my mind plays tricks on me
It all keeps adding up
I think I'm cracking up
Am I just paranoid?
Am I just stoned?

Fiona Apple--Daredevil

"I guess I just must be a daredevil
I don't feel anything until I smash it up
I'm caught on the cold, caught on the hot
Not so with the warmer lot
And all I want is a confidant
To help me laugh it off

And don't let me ruin me
I may need a chaperone"

Dream Theater- About to Crash

She can't stop pacing, she never felt so alive
Her thoughts are racing, set on overdrive
It takes a village, this she knows is true
They're expecting her and she's got work to do

He helplessly stands by
It's meaningless to try
As he rubs his red-rimmed eyes
He says, I've never seen her get this bad

Even though she seems so high
He knows that she can't fly
And when she falls out of the sky
He'll be standing by

She was raised in a small Midwestern town
By a charming and eccentric loving father
She was praised as the perfect teenage girl
And everyone thought highly of her

And she tried everyday
With endless drive to make the grade
Then one day she woke up to find
The perfect girl had lost her mind

Once barely taking a break, now she sleeps the days away
She helplessly stands by, it's meaningless to try
And all she wants to do is cry
No one ever knew she was so sad

'Cause even though she gets so high
And thinks that she can fly, she will fall out of the sky
But in the face of misery, she found hopefulness
Feeling better, she had weathered this depression

Much to her advantage
She resumed her frantic pace
Boundless power, midnight hour
She enjoyed the race
You are unique, just like everybody else.
