xanax

Postby moramind » Thu Nov 30, 2006 8:36 pm

does it affect anyones sex life, any experiances to share, please share, i had to go off my rispherdal because it gave me extreme hypoglycemia, i was at the point where it was exhausting to stnad for more than thirty minutes, anyway, the anxiety is back, the littlest thing can trigger it, and i go nuts, i hit things, cut myself, and i am now willing to trade being addicted to a drug rather than being insane all day because somone ate my food that was in the fridge, anyway, any info would help, thanks
somtimes, it's like i want to touch these lights, and give into them become them, just a flash for a moment~in this world

Hi Moramind. I've been on alprazolam, xanax for a long time.......being bipolar you have to watch the stress, it is usually always in a regimen for the dx.

Sex drive, it does hamper it some...........but not to the extreme of AD's.

there are other less addictive, yet still addictive alternatives in the benzo group......but xanax is the only one that works for me. :(

Hope this helps.

xanax works for me too for anxiety as i have alot of anxiety and my p seems the think it is from my bi-polar makes the anxiety increase but even when i am not stressed or in my mania or depressive state i still get anxiety attacks but xanax works good but at the moment i am going through the anxiety as my P wants to get mood stabilzed first she said it would be useless to start me on xanax again and then the mood stabilzer as it would do nothing i'm on mood stabilzer and i told her lots of depressant meds dont work for me and the anxiety is still their i would think the best person to know about how we feel with the meds is we the patients as we know are bodies and so fourth i dunno maybe i'm just :?

thew lamictal works, it never made me anxious, he may just need to up your dose, 25's like nothing i'm on 300, and it helps moslty but doesn't control all of my mood swings of course.good luck with it all, i hope that the lamictal isn't making you anxious, it's a wonderful drug for mood swings i'd say

King Xanax here.

Postby nolaguy » Mon Mar 05, 2007 1:24 am

I joke about it but I was diagnosed years ago with panic attacks, it was only after I decided I could no longer hide it and thought for SURE I WAS GOING INSANE AND GOING TO DIE.

Xanax was the miracle drug, took them and ding, no more panic. It stops one in its tracks and brings you back to normal and there is nothing like feeling NORMAL!!

BUT....

I started to take them for everything, next thing I was taking 5 1mg at a time, 6 and 7 of them and I joke these days but I can out eat anyone, its because I have taken it for so long that it takes a bottle to function. Now here is the problem..

Its a dangerous drug, I took myself off them years back and never touched them again, recently anxiety from the hurricane has been giving me problems and I told my doctor of my past and Xanax but he said give it a try just take it really easy, something had to be done and valium does NOTHING to me or for me period. I noticed I am still immune to xanax till I reach about 10mg, then I turn into a dangerous raging animal, not good. They make me to insane things thus the end of xanax for me! I was told that they are working differently on me because of a certain condition I might have and i have noticed some drugs have opposite effects on me. They worked initially but since the nature of the drug causes one to have to take more and more to have the same effect as they did when you started ..you get the picture. Xanax is a miracle for anxiety attacks but the devil in a bottle at the same time. I am a loving and caring person, non-violent and certain drugs can turn me into a MONSTER. I am just giving a warning in which I speak from experience.

As for the sex issue, the only thing that effects my sex life is AD's, xanax does nothing to it what so ever. Never did either. AD's just make me last forever, no climax and drives my wife crazy - sometimes good crazy and sometimes bad crazy. Dont know what else to say. I will say that my sex drive is at an all time low, she is the sex monster, I could care less if we did or didnt to be completely honest. I am 38 years old FYI.

xanax

Postby gone » Sun Apr 29, 2007 4:31 am

hi, i'm of a few things, a severe rapid cycling pi polar, and been on alot of diff things.....but xannies do the trick for me.....i hear alot of horror stories, but it is a maracle drug......other benzos don't affect me, but those calm me down, and level out the swings....which for a rc like me can be every 2 min.....i dont have a script 4 em, but have "friends" ...so in my opinion it is effective indeed....only s eff is short term memory loss....and not always...well worth the results...otherwise i wud be back to not sleeping for literally 8 to 10 day stretches, and winding up with psychotic breaks from no sleep.....so in my opinion, at least give em a chance to work, can't hurt. hope u feel better soon, and best wishes to u...be well, and stay safe. 'core
