Anyone else have weeks or months where the house is absolutely spotless then not long after it's a complete dump and you can't get up to clean it?
I get so obsessive sometimes with the cleanliness of my home. I will clean it beautifully daily. I preach to my husband about the mess and everything too. Then the next day I'll leave it and it'll get worse and worse and my husband will start preaching to me.
Don't preach to me! I'm the one with the mental disorder not you! lol

I wish we could eat out more often because keeping a kitchen spotless for long is not doable. There will be times when, after I've worked so hard to get the place clean and shining where it's been cleaned to perfection, I have to say, ok we're going out to eat!
By the way, on my past and very bad days where I was literally useless with housework I would hire the cleaning lady about 4 days in a row for two hours at a time so my kitchen would be cleaned every day. She would comes once a week to do the entire house. I had her for over 8 years and now I'm without anyone to help me. I'm slowly getting into the routine of things. And if I get bad again with depression I will hire someone to help me again.

Sorry to hear you struggle with this. I have been a bit 'luckier' I guess. I have a tiny studio with my husband and it's pretty easy to clean. On my up days/weeks/months It'll be spotless day in day out with a regular daily routine. Then on the down days/weeks/months I will only clean every few days or when I can be bothered. I have to seriously pull myself so much to do it. Often remind myself that my husband is at work paying our way and I'm at home feeling uber lazy!
I WANT A CLEANER! Not an option with all the credit card debt I have wracked up! lol.

I've always been this way... for a month the house will be spotless and no one is allowed to leave anything out of place and I finally think I've got on top of it. And then for 6 months it will a mess/dirty again. Which I hate! But can't force myself to do anything about it.
I'm a single parent but in the past my now ex-partner would comment about not keeping on top of things, and I'd be like you f*****g clean it then! I didn't know I was depressed back then, just thought I was lazy, which makes no sense when sometimes I wasn't like that.
That's what life's about man, good times, a little salad.

I can't seem to ever clean my house...

When I'm depressed it's just impossible. When I'm hypo there's so much else I want to do! When my mood is normal, I do the dishes and small stuff like that, but I rarely actually clean. It's embarrassing, really!

Gotta say for me a clean home is a happy home and a messy one...hmm I really can't say I ever have a messy house - makes me crazy to have stuff out of order. My 4 teens' rooms? Let's not go there! Literally!
