Once. Involuntarily at first and then voluntarily, for a total of 4 weeks.
I did not have very good care while I was there (completely missed that I was in a severe mixed state, treating me like I was a naughty child when I was suicidal). But it was necessary at the time for me to be somewhere safe, and it was safer for me to be there than at home.
I liked the groups a lot.

I have had four admissions which were all lengthy (longest about 5 months). The main things that helped me was the OT input and ward activities. The dr was absolutely terrible and did not help me at all as well as being a deeply unpleasant person.
I have not been in for a few years now tho which is great
