Abilify helps with anxiety?

Hi guys!

I have a question, if anyone has some experiences with Abilify as anxiety med?

Well I've been prescribed it (as you can read in my posts) together with Lamictal, to boost it up. I felt sleepy, "high" and restlesness at the beginning. The thing I'm facing (STILL) is nervousness. Not like anxiety like, but just not feeling relaxed. Before my problems started I just didn't feel relaxed with strangers or just people that didn't "suit" me.

Now I feel nervous even if doing a small change (today when going to see my grandmom !!).

I was wondering if a higher dose of Abilify (from 5 to 10mg) can help with this some sort of anxiety (before Abilify anxiety was worse) or no? Scared of going manic if increasing the dose though...but can't live in constant fear as well and constant hm...unability to relax.

The only experience I have with abilify is as a mood stabilizer in tandem with prozac. I believe it was the third time they upped my prozac dose that I started having manic episodes. They put me on abilify and told me not to take the prozac without it. I ran out of my abilify trial before I ran out of prozac and also before I could get back in and so I stopped taking the abilify as well and promptly had a psychotic break where people were normal when I looked at them, but when I looked away their faces would morph into ###$ up proportions. I felt like the were doing it "laughingly", "maliciously", and "at" me. I also couldn't remember what size underwear I wore, bought a pack three sizes too big, thought I had flipped the number around in my head, and bought a pack that were a size too small. I thought that and everything else was really funny, and was very distractible. My therapist, when I got in to see her, asked me if I was on anything. I think it helped me feel more level, but not much does much for my anxiety. Long story short, don't just stop taking it and don't run out.

I was on abilify and had the worst reaction to it. Constantly nauseous and spinning . I had to go off of it because the side effects were awful. I dont recommend someone with bi polar 1 with anxiety and pyschotic episodes go on it.
