I've been in a slump for a while and haven't felt inspired to read the forum.
I just wasn't interested in hearing of peoples troubles. This is quite different from the usual me.
Today I slept in until 3:00 pm. Spent the day in bed shifting between asleep and awake and just not caring about anything.
Then I got up, and logged on here. I'm in tune! I read each note with my heart and want to connect with everybody. This is how I like to feel.
Does anybody else have these flip flops of mood?
It is not always possible to make someone's discomfort go away.
Sometimes, the best thing we can do is resist the urge to fix it and instead just say, "You, too?"

Absolutely ! I have these flips in mood.
I can't even count how many times I've convinced myself that I'm "done with this stupid forum", and then found myself back here days or weeks later !
I also hear you on not wanting to read about other people's troubles. Our illnesses make it hard to hear other people out coz we have our own s**t (and a lot of it) to deal with.
Anyway, glad you're back ! Someone here will always listen to you.
The gym will never say "no" to you, and neither will a bowl of food.
My mind will always be sick, but who says my body also has to be ?

LOL

If one has compulsive / addictive tendencies, internet forums can be very bad. I like to dip into Psychforums for a few weeks, then give it a rest for a while. I think that, if one uses computers in one's job, its best to try and avoid using computers in one's free time. I'd rather not spend my entire life in front of a computer screen - climbing mountains is considerably more satisfying.
