My paranoia seems to have slowly tapered off

Postby quietgirl2538 » Tue Jul 08, 2014 1:55 pm

My paranoia of believing people were out to get me on the road while driving has immensely tapered off, but I still have some of it in me. I am not completely believing that other people are only out to hurt me and that I have to be on the defense even if it comes to life and death situation. I am much more calmer. But I will still bring this up in therapy today. It lasted over 6 weeks time and I still have some of it with me now. I believe I am going from one mood to another and it's not too bad but it's not where it should be at. Intense emotions, uncontrollable emotions of anger. I slam doors and I have never done that except in the first years of our marriage which is over 12 years ago. I don't feel so bad I know that since I am pretty much stable this can be more controlled. I have faith in that. These days I have little faith in much of anything including God. So I am also thinking that in the past when I had undiagnosed and unmedicated bipolar, I would have short times when I would be manic or mostly hypomanic and then eventually it would go away. I would have depression and then it lifted. I also drank a lot. That seemed to help level me out. Definitely not recommending that. I would black out everytime and not remembering a thing is scary. So I am thinking maybe this will also go away on it's own. But just to be sure I will ask the therapist. I'd like to hear your take on this.

Glad the paranoia is improving tho def something to talk to the therapist and also your Dr about. From what you are saying it doesnt sound like you are completely stable. It might be a good idea to bring this up with your team and see if anything can be done to help settle things more for you.

Please take good care and let us know how you go

Hi CrackedGirl,
I have an appointment with the psychiatrist on Monday, things are not well. I am having mood swings along with the paranoia.
