Depakote addiction

Postby Nephilim » Fri Jun 20, 2014 9:08 am

I have something like addiction to Depakote. Sometimes every two-three hours I take two pills, over ten per a day. I know it is not good. Are there anyone like me?

hi

I have not come across this before. I would strongly recommend you try to stop doing it tho as it may be you are giving yourself a toxic dose of it which is not a great thing to do. have you told anyone who has input into your care about this?

No, this is like my little sacred. I'm wondering how this happened. Obviously I can addict to anything.

What the hell do you get out of popping Depakote? I hate taking Depakote and its the only med that keeps me stabalized, able to sleep. It has horrible side-effects. Wouldnt this make you tired all of the time?

How long have you been taking Depakote? Sometimes it can take up to 3 weeks to start working.

It helps me for my O.C.D. and stabilizes my mood, otherwise I have mood swings, usually everything depress me. At the beginning it made me tired and sleepy. I've developed tolerance.

Do you think it is is habit that is making you do this or do you actually get a buzz out of it?

I've taken lotta things, even heroin. My habbit is to be on drugs, but I don't do drugs anymore and I think I might take it instead of stronger drugs. And yes, it has a buzz.

anyway... I will stop it..

I remembered my past and I feel bad.. I try to run away from it, but my past is faster than me..

I understand about being on drugs - I have issues with that too.

Have you ever had any professional help with all of this stuff to do with using drugs?

Hah I tried few times to go a doctor for my drugs problem and the conversations are:
- I'm an addict. I have serious problems. I need help.
- Stop drugs and then come again to cure your mental disorder.

Even twice in hospital nobody helped me about my drugs problem and they knew that I'm an addict.
I live in very fu**in country. Here professional may help you only if you are a total junkie.
I reduce my doses and change a drug with another when I try to stop. I'm my own doctor.

Does not sound helpful

Can you google to see if there are any charities which can help?
