I distrust any psychiatrist. They only change my diagnosis and I'm getting worse and worse... I go to psychiatrist every month since i was fourteen years old. They simply don't help. I'm sick of all of them!
I'm a riddle so strong, you can't break me!

I have had at least two psychiatrists and one therapist I did not trust at all for various reasons. One missed mania and psychosis and the other did not believe my symptoms were real and did things like not ask me about suicidal ideation when I was severely depressed. The therapist said she did not think I had processed abuse in a traumatic way which made it impossible for me to talk about it. I also have had several CPNs I did not trust. Tho my last two have been very good. My current psych is also very good tho it has taken us a while to adjust to each other. I also trust my GP so atm I am very lucky to have a team I trust - but it has def not always been that way.

He knows what he's doing and is the best as far handling my medication. He isn't reliable, but I'm stuck out of choice. I stick with him because I have to as much as I'd like to switch. If I lost him as a psychiatrist I won't keep pursuing treating myself. I'll probably just switch to antidepressant since they don't make me manic and get treating from a family doc.

My current psych...I'm not sure I really "trust" her but she seems knowledgeable and the things she has mentioned have panned out when I research them. She ultimately allows me to make the decisions in my care which I like and I suppose gives me a level of "trust."
I have definitely had many psychiatrists that I absolutely do not trust at all however and who only want to drug me up. It makes me a not very nice person to have sitting in their office which I think just feeds into it more.
My biggest advice is to switch your psych if you don't trust them. It is super important and a big part of my own wellness to have a psych I can at least collaborate with and who I feels listens to me.
