Is cognitive impairment, like that seen in Schizophrenia, common in Bipolar Disorder?

I believe that it comes with the down cycle. There's several tests they give while inpatient to determine how bad it is. They sometimes ask you to subtract 3 from 100 and remember some offhand word. Probably other tests that I'm not thinking of at the time.

I'm HORRIBLE at this one.
The remembering 3 words one it depends on how I am in the cycle.

I hate to 'admit' that I have psychosis, because then it's kind of like a self-condemning prophecy. However, the reason why I keep 'admitting' it is because it's true; but the past does not necessarily have to equal the present and the future...
