Thanks a lot for all the support guys, means so much! :) Honest -- it does.

I'm mostly bored and cycling like Lance Armstrong. Yesterday I went up and down at least 6 times, today so far 3 but the day is young. Can't sleep -- new place, rapid med changes, guess it's not completely unexpected. They let me out to the gym, which is great -- just back after a roaring back workout, it really calms me down a lot and makes the cycling easier to take. Earlier in the day I got really "can't stand people" sort of depressed for half an hour though. Oh the wonders yet to come.

Free WiFi is amazing. :) Wireless hugs for all and a special affectionate shinkick for Lanka!

Hey there friend. Sounds like this place is treating you well. We're all rooting for you here, so hang in there in the mean time and keep optimistic as much as possible.. Cycling sucks!!

Oliveira!

Hope you get stable soon.

Never had internet inside, though I've talked to people with it. Seems like it's a nice hospital.

Do you have to pay when admitted voluntarily? For example, having your insurance company pay for your stay. If not, how do you stay there without paying? Do you have to be brought there involuntarily by the police?

Hi Jonas,

I imagine this differs by country. I'm in the Netherlands. When I say "voluntarily" I don't mean I came there and said "I'd like to be in a hospital for a bit" and they went "yeah sure", I mean that my doctor made a suggestion I agreed to rather than being delivered there kicking and screaming by police.

I have to pay first 200 euro, the rest comes from the insurance. (My insurer is so unlucky to have me -- it's not even July yet and I got a listing that says they spent 2600 euro on my medical help -- I pay them 95 a month...)

Hey Oliveira,

Ah, ok. The psychiatrist that I am seeing right now has mentioned the possibility of putting me in the hospital, but that's only if I am a 'danger' to myself.
