Greetings from the hospital!

Postby Oliveira » Mon Jun 02, 2014 7:01 pm

As of today, I am voluntarily admitted to a mental ward of the local hospital.

I've got a nice room all of my own. Food is good (I know!!! SHOCKER!!!). People seem nice. Although discovering a lady of certain age sleeping in my bed when I returned from dinner was a bit surprising. Luckily the staff helped move her to a more appropriate spot (her room).

I'll be taken off antidepressant and moved to lithium (either in conjunction with Depakine or alone). Not looking forward. But I was getting to a spot where I was danger to either myself or others. This will be better.

So -- greetings from the hospital and I'll keep you posted! Big hugs :)

I'm sure you have done the right thing.
You will get the help you need.
I'm glad for you to be where you need to be right now.

Hey there Oilveira, glad to hear you're getting the help you need. That's remarkable you were able to admit yourself voluntarily, not many can do that. I'm not sure I could in a situation, so bravo. Hope things keep going well, we're all hoping for the best.
