Hope or a sign of improvement?

Postby Cocinella » Sun Jun 01, 2014 3:14 pm

Hello to you all!

I was experiencing some weird changes in my mood for the last week or so. First I had trouble with anxiety during (and before) my PMS, then I was actually feeling quite normal or suprinsingly good for about 2 and a half or three days (if I don't mention the feeling of derealization and dizziness).

Then for the last day I felt really irritable, fed up with everyone and was searching for a topic to argue about with everyone. Now my BF just left home and I feel all sad and on the edge of crying again (thinking about how my life sucks...you know the feeling).

Never the less I do think things are improving, after I am almost entering my 6th week of 100mg of Lamictal. Is it really a sign of improvement? I do hope so!

I have my doc's appoinment in 3 days and I am hoping for some encouriging words from you and my doc as well. Have a good day all!

Your shifting moods may be a bit unusual, but you don't suggest you are having extreme moods.
That should be a good sign for you.

I hope your next appointment goes well. I like small changes in medication and giving it time to take effect.

Take Care,
It is not always possible to make someone's discomfort go away.
Sometimes, the best thing we can do is resist the urge to fix it and instead just say, "You, too?"

Hi skilsaw and thanks for your reply :)

My moods are really weird yeah, I mean I'd be able to write pages and pages here to tell you how it was shifting and what agony I was (and still am) going through. No, I am not having extremes in moods I guess...but it does shift and I can notice when I am not "myself" (even though I am not really sure what's me and what's not :/)

Today I have a "crying seing everything hopeless" day. It's so frustrating! I begin to feel "normal" and then PUF, I fall again and it's back my cyclothimia or whatever's wrong with me. When I think I am cured, something (nothing extraordinary) happens and I switch again.

Is it too much to ask, will this agony ever stop? :/

Regards!

Have Hope!
I saw a presentation on children with cancer.
There observation was that children and families who stayed hopeful survived longer.

Thank you for the kind words :)

There are people suffering even more, I know. And I do hope things will get better for me as well. This is just taking too long, and I want to live so much!

I won't give up yet :) Thank you!
