Hospital again. ECT again. No end in sight.

Hey all.

Am back in hospital (albeit voluntarily this time) and having yet another course of ECT. I've had three ECTs so far and although my mood has picked up slightly already I'm so tired of this cycle. I'm coming off one med, starting another one, now they want me to have maintenance ECT as well. My memory is shot to pieces after just three ECTs- I had to ask my hubby a million questions this afternoon such as 'how long have we been living here?' 'why did we move here' 'have I been working?' etc etc.

I don't really know what I want anyone to say, guess I'm just feeling sorry for myself and needed a place to vent :(

I'm sorry to hear you are back in hospital.
But in a strange way, it is bitter-sweet.
It is where you should be, given your present condition.

I hope the series of ECT helps you and you are able to find some relief from depression.

Do get well!
Take care,
It is not always possible to make someone's discomfort go away.
Sometimes, the best thing we can do is resist the urge to fix it and instead just say, "You, too?"

Hi keenie

Huge hugs to you. I am so sorry to hear what a rough time you are still having- but it does sound like you are where you need to be just atm. I know it can get so frustrating when things dont seem to be improving and you keep being ill - I have been there but I really hope that thing will improve for you and they will find something that works for you- they did for me and it is possible. Please dont give up and please keep going. Hopefully things will improve for you soon

More hugs
