pain

Postby outcaster » Wed Mar 19, 2014 11:30 am

It has been almost half a year since I socialized, I lost my job and overdosed on my anti depressants. I proved to my family I am not reliable. I’ve been feeling like a complete failure. I had the longest depression episode of my life. I can’t find a therapist I can trust and I struggle to leave my room every day. I just find communicating through texting is way easier and less exhausting. I am not sure what is the point of this post but everything hurts.. lights, people.

Outcaster,I am so very sorry you are sufferinng from such depression.I know it is exhausting and draining. But try to see the light at the end of the depression tunnel.Depression is a state we get in.Either due to unfortunate circumstances.Or due to chemical imbalances. It is treatable and doesnt have to take over your life.Or limit your enjoyment of life.Finding the right therapist can be like az needle in a haystack sometimes. But I do believe there is someone who can help you feel better.Trial and error sometimes. But in the meantime, try searching your area therapists. There usually is a site where doctors..therapists..psychologists are rated by patients.Try looking into, who specializes in depression.I do understand alot of us are limited due to our income levels.Me too,of who we can go to.But I think if you can find someone sympathetic to your needs, and who views you as an individual and person, not just a patient, you will be able to get the help you need.Dont let the depression define your life. There is so much out in the world for you to experience, and there is a place in this world where you are needed and wanted. You have worth..value..a voice, and a beautiful soul that just needs some healing.XX try not to focus on what you dont do,most of us are in that boat at one time or another, but focus on accomplishments, regardless of what they are,big or small, and push forward from there.

Life is a struggle.
Many of us here have been where you are now.
Starbright is right.
Don't give up.
Don't live in the past.
Embrace life with all its complexity and harshness.
Life is also beautiful and inviting.

Take care,
It is not always possible to make someone's discomfort go away.
Sometimes, the best thing we can do is resist the urge to fix it and instead just say, "You, too?"
