It's actually my favorite instrument and then probably Piano.
Cracked, this is for you then. I remember in the music thread you were a fan of Metallica. This is electric violin btw. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bhWRkiGtHVo

I've been thinking about taking up the violin. It's a gorgeous instrument. Would either of you say it's difficult? I need a challenge in my life other than engineering school. :)

It is a challenge yes but a good one. One thing I would say tho is it takes a while to sound good on it - i only found i sounded properly ok on it at higher music grades whereas piano or guitar for example can be more rewarding earlier on

But fun for sure

Hugs both

Growing up my talent was softball and volleyball but ended up destroying my arm. Ive always been good at art when I can sit down long enough to concentrate on a single project.

I would still say my strength is in understanding sports. Theyre not all about physical ability but also the plan behind the game. You have to be able to use each players strengths and overcome their weaknesses. You have to know your opponents weaknesses. Playing a sport is much like playing chess.

Oh and I enjoy philosophy! I have an issue with deep thinking.

I, too, play the violin. I also play the guitar, and I dabble at piano, cello, and some other things. I suppose my musicality is one of my strengths. I also love animals and have a knack for working with the troubled ones. I'm well versed in training dogs especially, so I enjoy teaching them tricks and such.

It's fun to see so many musicians on here. My previous therapist used to tell me that people with mental illness also tend to be very creative. It seems to be true, and it's certainly not a bad thing.
