Charting

Postby Gemmaleanne » Sat Mar 08, 2014 9:18 pm

hey all,
quick question to those who chart moods.
iv been advised to do so by my CPN, iv tried various ways so far as her chart did my head in, too much to focus on. iv tried apps on my phone but they only allow for one input of data per day and i need the option to do so 3 times a day right now as monitoring a depressive episode.
i'm no good at remembering where i put pieces of paper but maybe i could get a book.

preferably something with a -5/+5 scale.

anyone have anything that works well for them? or an app worth taking a gander at?

thankyou in advance x

Ha, this is PRECISELY what I googled today and failed to find. +1 to the OP's question. I'm interested specifically in an Android app. Might get really frustrated and write my own but obviously that would take a while...

At least Mood Watch for android/iThingies lets you chart various states (mood, anxiety, energy, calm&focus) 3 times a day.. Even has option for stuff like bloodpressure before&after meditation. :p

Unlike something else I glanced through it shows med doses for 4 times of day. And has a reminder alarm thingy.

Figured might as well test couple of the apps myself.. After little digging around that seems best so far. >>"

Meds? Went feral. So far nothing has given me the equal of highs on daily basis.

Hi there, I've never tracked my moods before but I decided to start doing so after I had, I think, an hypomanic episode after a long depressive one, and now I'm back to "normal" I guess. Well I have an iphone and looked for "mood chart" and there were some free apps that I decided to try first before paying. I downloaded an app called "My mood tracker" which lets you add your mood any time of the day, your meds, sleeping hours, stimulants, level of energy etc. If you add your mood you can rate it from 1 to 10, for instance, you're feeling angry, you can rate it. But the chart looks like 1 to 10 for any mood, if you're sad on a 10 level, it'd loo the same on the chart as if you're happy level 10. I'm new to these mood charts, so I don't know about those -5, +5 charts, is there an app, free or not, that will have a chart like that?

Thanks
