Optimal Med and Dosage

Postby mbk734 » Fri Feb 28, 2014 8:51 pm

I am taking 6mg Invega daily. I used to take Risperdal 4mg daily. I have noticed that I am more level in my mood throughout the day because Invega is extended release. I have thought about trying lithium but I would rather not get blood tests or switch meds if everything is going well.
"Have I gone mad?"
"I'm afraid so. You're entirely bonkers. But I'll tell you a secret. All the best people are."

If something is going well then why not stick to it? The other medications are always there if things change.

I tell my doctor how I'm doing and he writes the prescriptions.
The only time a drug was changed when my moods were stable was when I was having side effects.

Take care,
It is not always possible to make someone's discomfort go away.
Sometimes, the best thing we can do is resist the urge to fix it and instead just say, "You, too?"
