I'm glad to hear your good news.
A place of your own is a big step.
There is that old saying, "Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home."
I hope it works out well for you.

Hi there!

I am on Geodon. But my pdoc told me that Geodon is excellent in controlling mania, but doesn't help much with depression. He treats my depression/anxiety with Paxil.

Frankly, I think Geodon saved my life and brought me out of a horrible mixed state. I've noticed not that many people are treated with it. I did have one horrible side effect when I was first prescribed it. It gave me this completely restless feeling, particularly in my legs and I would have to get up and pace around. But then my doc prescribed cogentin and all that went away. One good thing was it didn't cause any weight gain. I haven't been manic in three years, and I credit Geodon with that.

Out of curiousity, let me know if Geodon helps with your depression. I really hope that it does and that my pdoc was wrong. I wish you the best.

It's great to hear from you, Vespera! :D Glad to know you've been doing better and have good news for us all. I'm sure it sucked having to live in a shelter, but at least you got to meet interesting people, so that's a plus! ;)

Good luck with your new place and be sure to take it easy! Hopefully, your doctor will support you and it will be a smooth transition. I hope the Geodon also works for you.
