Hi everyone, I'm meg. I have a question, does anyone get this feeling when hypomanic that they just can't stop eating? I just get to be like a bottomless pit and it's really bad for me!! All I ever want is ice cream and more of it. What do you do? Advice would be great...I mean, I don't really eat when I'm depressed- but no complaints there

Hi meg, and welcome.
this is odd, I had to reply,
It is just the opposite with me......but maybe you are craving carbs? Are you on any antipsych meds? They have a rep for doing this.
I eat, or even binge when depressed but that is another issue for me. Thank G. I don't get depressed but twice or so a year. But man are they bad when I do get them, they make up for lost time that's for sure.

Hmm we sound like the exact opposite! I'm a rapid cycler (daily, usually) and I eat a lot or binge when I'm manic but don't eat when I'm depressed. Luckily it balances out in the day

I'm on lamictal and abilify... so who knows how they might be affecting me?
