Hello Everyone,
My name is Mike and I am from Kalispell MT. I have just recently met a really good person and she has confided in me about her Bipolar disease. She has been very open and honest with me and I would very much like to learn all I can. I do have a great deal of medical background as I am an X- ER Cardiac Trauma Nurse. However I am new to this topic.
My question to all of you out there is, Can you give me some suggestions on how to handle a person that is Bipolar. For example I don't want her to feel that I am sorry for her or over compensate. I want to be there for her and learn how to deal with the disease. I don't know if I am making myself to clear or not. But any suggestions you can give me will help. I have been reading a lot of the posts here and have learned a great deal. I have also been online doing research as well but would like to here form live people.
Sincerely,
Michael T. Campos
