Bipolar and Smoking Cigars/Cigarettes Occasionally

Postby TheManyFacesOfMe » Fri Mar 01, 2013 6:13 pm

I find that smoking a cigar when I'm manic or depressed or suffering from Anxiety helps me. especially when combined with my Meds. I find it helps me calm down. I really like sweet cognac flavored ones. cigarettes make me cough too much for me to enjoy them.

I dont do it often though. only once in a blue moon.

I take karate too. I'm a black belt. helps me deal with things better. I learned Meditation not too long ago, and now I'm looking into Buddhism for spirituality. I am currently an agnostic theist.

fellow smoker here, only about a quarter of a pack a day though. I had quit for 3 years when I was married, but then the day we separated, it was the first thing I bought. I haven't stopped since (that was only 2.5 years ago though)

Mine is like once maybe every two to 3 months. 2 packs of cigars last me a long time.

I just quit the end of last June. I was up to a pack a day, and when I was manic it would be WAY more. I'd chain smoke like a fiend. I do miss it, as it helped a lot with anxiety, but now I just pop some Clonazepam and chill 8)

I just smoke very occationally, but I also don't drink alcohol and I'm not really the "drug person". The only selfmedication I tryed was with lithium orotate, melatonin, vitamines and stuff like this.
