Great song that describes Bipolar!!!

Postby pinkfloydfan810 » Wed Dec 12, 2012 7:57 am

I've never thought of it till now, but the song by Bruce Springsteen One Step Up, Two Steps back really describes Bipolar. He is one of the many Bipolars who struggled for years never knowing what was wrong with him. His music is the best in my opinion. Anyway before I ramble too much here's the song! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzmCg1B9Q2M

Ozzy Osbourne is often listed as a celebrity with bipolar disorder. Certainly a life filled with drug and alcohol abuse, bizarre behavior and suicide attempts could indicate manic depression.

Ozzy Osbourne "Diary of a Madman" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiEJOzAVAXc

Screaming at the window
Watch me die another day
Hopeless situation endless price I have to pay

Sanity now it's beyond me there's no choice

Diary of a madman
Walk the line again today
Entries of confusion
Dear diary I'm here to stay

Manic depression* befriends me
Hear his voice
Sanity now it's beyond me
There's no choice

A sickened mind and spirit
The mirror tells me lies
Could I mistake myself for someone
Who lives behind my eyes
Will he escape my soul
Or will he live in me
Is he tryin' to get out or tryin' to enter me

Voices in the darkness
Scream away my mental health
Can I ask a question
To help me save me from myself

Enemies fill up the pages
Are they me
Monday till Sunday in stages
Set me free
I survived psychiatry.

Good one Copy_Cat - I'm pretty sure that Ozzy was on a crazy train. On an unrelated issue, is it just me or did the anti-psych forum kind of die off?

The forum did slow down a bit, I always try to put links into my replys so browsers of the forum can learn about the anti psychiatry movement. The psychiatric drugging of children something that needs to be worked on. Most people don't know big pharma has been busted with fines in the billions for this cause it never makes the news. Unlike things like the gulf oil spill disaster.

"A day of reckoning arrived for BP as the oil giant agreed to plead guilty to a raft of criminal charges and pay a record $4.5 billion in a settlement with the government over the deadly 2010 disaster in the Gulf of Mexico. Three BP employees were also charged, two of them with manslaughter."

Everyone heard of that on t.v cause some fish got poisoned.

When kids get sick from greedy fraud It hardly makes news at all !!

n April, a judge in Arkansas ordered the drugmaker to pay $1.2 billion in fines over Risperdal marketing. That verdict came three months after J&J decided to end a trial in Texas over the drug’s sales with a $158 million settlement. The Texas case included claims that the company marketed the drug for children while lacking approval by regulators for such use.

Mabey you could do a youtube video on this ?
I survived psychiatry.

It's good to see another Bruce Springsteen fan. His music is one of the only kinds I can really relate to. It's just so real. But I never heard this one - I can't believe I missed it. Thanks for sharing!
