Switching between euphoria and dysphoria?

Is it normal to switch between euphoria and dysphoria within the same manic episode? I'll be happy for a while and carefree but then something will happen like I'll hear a sad song or get really nauseous and start feeling dysphoric.

I don't think it's uncommon for that to happen to people during mania. Mania isn't always euphoric constantly, it can switch to other emotions, such as anger, agitation, or dysphoric - in which case it might be a mixed state, possibly?
