It's Official

I have had a mixed day which is why I have been quiet. I saw a careers advisor about future job possibilities and it was helpful - I have some prospects again and a possible future rather that just existing in the moment.

However it is official, I am off the medical register. I came back from careers appt to find a letter telling me so. I feel pretty sad about this. But at least I had the careers appt. Has not fully sunk in yet but it is not a nice feeling.

Need to figure out how to say goodbye to the past and hello to the future.

Anyhow I just wanted to let you guys know

I image getting that letter just makes it seem all the more real. I know the future holds good thing for you though. When one door closes another opens and it sounds like you are doing the right things to move forward with the career advisor.

If it helps, though, I had a burnout (yes, I know it's not the same but bear with me) and saw a career advisor due to that, and found the most amazing alternative career for myself. One that I can continue doing whether I've got bipolar or not, as well. I will keep fingers crossed that future has great things in store for you.

Hey Cracked. Sorry to hear about what happened. I always try to say myself, there is some bad parts in your life but you always get to the end of the tunnel to get to the good. hang in there.

What a coincidence that the same day that you have the meeting with the career adviser, your get that letter in the mail. Perhaps it was meant to be that way so that you would have a little bit of hope for the future as you receive that letter which officially ended your past. Just a thought... I know that you'll do great at anything you choose to do!

Hey Cracked.

Sounds like a really tough time. I know it probably doesn't mean anything now, but I really do believe that things happen for a reason. You'll find something else to do that you're gonna be brilliant at, maybe something where you can use your experiences of bipolar to good effect
