I saw this new show on t.v. called I Can Make You Thin.
I only saw the first show and I know he uses this tapping method which I guess works. I won't do it though.
However, what I did find usefull were his 4 golden rules.
1. Eat when you are hungry.
2. Eat what you want, not what you think you should have.
3. Eat Conciously. (Take a bite, put the food down until you've chewed it up and swallowed it. He also suggests chewing 20 times. Do this for each bite you take and then give yourself time to realize if your stomach is full.)
4. Stop when you think you are full.
What I've learned from this is when I eat what I want without worrying what someone is telling me I should eat, then I don't have anxiety over it. Also when I eat slowly I find out that the foods I am eating aren't really foods that I like. So for instance, I don't ever crave going to McDonalds anymore lol.
This is a link to an explanation of each rule.

I don't know about the tapping trick. I personally am afraid to try certain techniques because I have my own phobias about certain things, but I think the rules are very common sense, I mean this is stuff we grew up hearing from our parents for goodness sakes. lol.
Anyway, just thought I would share this bit of info that I find usefull.
