Hi,
I assume that you live in the United States of America so I cannot offer insurance advice (I live in Ireland).
I did receive therapy however. It was originally designed to help my OCD but eventually I informed the therapist that I was also bulimic. It definately helped - I am 100% sure of that. She basically reiterated in my head what I already knew and it was as if I simply needed to be reminded that I needed to improve my lifestyle. She gave me methodology with which to tackle problematic issues.
So, if you can, use therapy.
