Does my brother have Binge Eating Disorder?

He eats more then a normal amount of food on a daily basis but now he is starting to eat without anyone knowing. He closes the doors to the kitchen and eats, and goes to the bathroom and locks the doors to eat. He is 13 by the way. Maybe he is just a growing boy.

I am truly sorry for not replying to this earlier. The actions of your brother that you have described sound exactly like the actions of a person with a eating disorder. If you wish to talk to him about it do not approach him directly over it - Do it indirectly. I mean, ask him if there is anything wrong in his life; If everything is alright; Or if everything at school is okay.

it definately sounds like some type of eating disorder.
