I'm not sure why I see more women online always say they'd like to try this and more men say they are hesitant about it. Where I work it seems as if the males I talk to always talk as if this would be great for them, but they very well might be joking to be masculine. I don't know, I have rather strong social phobia myself and it's not always easy to tell when others are joking.
Personally, though I haven't had a relationship, the concept of bondage, dominance, and submission are extremely erotic. The loss of control or gaining thereof signifies an extreme, if not the most extreme amount of trust possible between two, or more, people.
To me, the person dominating the other is the one who's primary responsibility is to pleasure the sub. And at the same token, the sub is there to be pleasured for the dom's pleasure. That's completely subject to change based on the participants however.
To some I go fast
To others I am slow
Some need me free
Others in control
My laws are absolute
And none yet have been broken
Invisible I be
Yet all can see me
