Hey,

I'm male, 18 years old, and I know that I have ADP. Not officialy, but after years of searching on the net (knowing something's wrong) and reading books and forums, you just know that this is it. And a lot of people say that everyone has some of these symptoms, but you just know it at one point or another...
But that's not the reason of this post!
I'm asking myself if there's a forum for people with ADP. I know there are a lot of forums for people with like borderline, but I haven't found anything for ADP.
I don't know for you guys, but I really feel the need to talk with people who experience the same thing as me, and never in my live I found someone like that. So I think a forum could really help me.

I also know this is a forum but I don't have the feeling this forum is a really 'close' forum. I'm talking about a real forum where you can talk about all your daily problems and get to know each other...

Hmm...well...the very nature of AvPD precludes being able to deal with largem amounts of meaningful human contact, so a forum about it may not be the most active on the 'net...

I agree with the above poster, i just think that is the nature of the disorder.

I dont post alot here but i like to come and read the posts, no its not exactly very active but it is a nice forum. The people seem to be kind and helpful, and i think its nice to be able to talk with people who are going through the same problems as you are. Before i came here i didnt know anyone that thought or acted like me. I guess its just nice to know you are not alone.

yea, it's not very active aye, i think it must be relatively new and a lot of people seem to have just recently found it (like me). its kinda nice that it's small though-i feel better about posting. if you want some talking u can pm me. i have msn too...

Mayby you're right and does this forum fullfil the needs of most people. And I'm just new hear (only a few posts ) so it was wrong of me to think this place isn't good enough .

You dont have to be sorry, because you didnt do anything wrong. I wish there were more forums out there and more help for people that are avoidant, but i dont think there is(at least i havnt found them yet).

So, I decided I would make a forum...
I don't know if it's a good idea, but if it works I think it could be a nice place where we can feel a little bit welcome...
